Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa VARANK visited and inspected the facility of TTT World, part of Sıla Group, which manufactures medical consumables such as vacuum blood collection tubes, syringes, and IV infusion sets using domestic resources. The facility aims to reduce Turkey’s dependence on imports and prevent approximately USD 50 million in annual imports.
During his visit, Minister Varank received information about the company’s investments and production plans. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the critical importance of domestic production of medical consumables and healthcare products. Benefiting from investment incentives provided by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ankara-based company rapidly commenced production.
The company aims to manufacture essential medical consumables in Türkiye, including vacuum blood collection tubes, syringes, IV infusion sets, needle tips, cannulas, gloves, and blood bags, thereby contributing to the reduction of foreign dependency.
The investment consists of a three-phase project and is expected to provide employment for approximately 900 people once all phases are completed.
During the first phase, production of vacuum blood collection tubes, syringes, and IV infusion sets commenced. By the end of the year, the facility planned to produce approximately 450 million vacuum blood collection tubes, 500 million syringes, and 75 million IV infusion sets annually.
